• Managing a team of pre-press assistants including the day to day running of the department, supporting the pre-press manager in training for large client accounts and acting as an out of hours contact
• Responsible for complex retouching, colour balancing, cut outs, shadows, montage work and general image manipulation including motion, backgrounds and people for Haymarket’s portfolio including: Stuff, 442, Autocar, What Car? and What Hi-Fi?
• Tasked with overseeing accounts for Haymarket Network including: The London 2012 Olympics campaign, UEFA, The FA, ECB Cricket, Forever Sports, The NFL, The Army, Berkeley Homes, ATP Tennis, Manchester United and Jaguar
• Designing various adverts for external client Motorsport.com which appear weekly in Autosport and Motorsport News
• Working closely with a variety of both internal and external colleagues, departments, clients and suppliers
• Following editorial briefs and managing client expectations for high profile accounts
• Liaising with senior designers and art editors regarding layout, images and design
Key Achievements
• I assisted in bringing all reprographics in-house from an external supplier for Haymarket Media which resulted in dramatic cost savings for Haymarket
• I led the training programme to teach editorial departments how to use Adobe Photoshop and GoPublish
• I was responsible for all retouching and image manipulation of the 4 ceremony programmes for the London 2012 Olympics campaign and ensuring they were sent to press on time
