I am a highly experienced Digital and Print Designer who has worked for leading creative agencies, fashion brands and publications along with innovational media and digital industries throughout London and East Anglia. As an in-house Digital Designer for publications such as Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Wired, Stylist and Shortlist working for top brands such as Karen Millen, New Look, M&S, Woolmark, L'Oréal, M&S Autograph, Givenchy, Sony & Cancer Research. As a Lead Digital Designer I am responsible for creating engaging customerfacing designs which are founded on solid graphic design principles, digital design best practice and user-centred design fundamentals. From the early concept and ideation stages right through to final asset creation, predominantly in the fields of responsive web and mobile app designs. Working collaboratively in an agile environment with UX architects, developers and product owners, the designs are optimised for the customers’ needs and business goals. I am responsible for mentoring the other Designer's and I am part of the on-boarding process for new team members. My role is to ensure that digital design best practice, accessibility guidelines, user-centred design requirements and the Aviva digital design language are always adhered to.
Creating bespoke Social Media app graphics, online banners and adverts for brands and bloggers within the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industries as part of The Blogger Programme. The graphics were mainly for brands to team up with Bloggers to create competitions the social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter as well as outreach to new customers. The website banners were promoting latest offers and I created on brand social skins for Pinterest, Google+ and Twitter, some of which included sourcing images and generating new ideas from promotion. Clients included Aftershock London, MQT, Crook & Dagger and W.G Trunk Co.
In a fast pace environment I was the only Digital Designer for the Custom Solutions department working alongside the Digital Innovations Manager and Creative Director. I was responsible for creating visuals for a wide range of client bespoke microsites within the Shortlist, Stylist websites and regular emails – Mr Hyde and Emerald Street. Many of the brands advertising in the publications also had an online presence, such as takeovers, MPU and leaderboard adverts and skins. The role was very collaborative and client focused, I designed concepts for pitches, end of campaign documents, attended conference calls, brainstormed ideas and creating user journey’s. Clients included Micheal Kors, Links of London, L’Oreal, Max Factor, M&S and Sony.
Based at Vogue House for Condé Nast Digital UK I worked in a collaborative manner with the Art Director and Account Managers on exciting commercial digital projects for a variety of advertisers across titles Vogue, Glamour, GQ and Wired. This role was creative from start to finish, each project consisted of looking at new ways to promote brands with a microsite and traffic driver banners. Each and every custom solution was approached with an ambition to push the boundaries for consumer experience and creativity. Working within the housing of the publication’s website I created engaging microsites which represented each brands ethos and image with content such as editorial picks, online galleries, competitions, video promotion and social media walls for clients such as Karen Millen, M&S, New Look and Woolmark. For New Look’s AW14 Collection microsite on the Glamour website I planned and art directed a photo and video shoot, this involved moodboards to being part of the production on the day of the shoot and working closely with the videographer to edit the short promotion video.
As part of the E-commerce team I worked on conceptualising and creating editorial driven soft-sell content, targeted email campaigns and social media outreach graphics for Kurt Geiger, Nine West, Vince Camuto and online outlet shop Shoeaholic’s. Each season Kurt Geiger would team up with either Marie Claire or Vogue for features promoting the latest collections and creating engaging customer experiences. I attended regular meetings and briefings with various teams such as sales and marketing, in-house photography, IT and visual merchandise for printed material and in-store concepts. This role involved mentoring Junior Designers and Work placements.
Working mainly for the Next Brands Directory, I was involved in designing the spreads for individual fashion and sports brands in the SS12 directory. Clients included Adidas, Nike, Puma, Replay, Lipsy, Selected and Calvin Klein. I artworked window graphics and POS for the Tie Rack 2012 events. I also took studio photography for a redesign project for the website for a trend forecasting company named M lab (www.mlab.co.uk).
This was a print only role where I artworked swing tags, various POS and invitations for Fenn Wright Manson. I also worked on concepts for a Clarks new sports range launch party.
In an ad-hoc fashion and fast paced environment I artworked the Christmas shop POS, online banners for the Women’s designers and LFW press passes for the window displays.
Working mainly for the retail sector for digital, I created websites, managed content and built in HTML/CSS. I designed and managed sales driven e-shot campaigns. I also worked on print projects from initial designs through to final artwork on brochures, press advertising, leaflets, POS and signage. I liaised with clients on a daily basis. Clients include: Harrod Sport, New World Music, Start-rite Shoes and The Co-operative Group.
I worked on designing and updating printed material such as prospectuses, leaflets and press advertising for Culford School, LVS Schools, Suffolk Artlink and Eastern Angles. I created new brand guidelines and worked within existing ones. I worked with clients, printers and publications to manage print production and delivery. I implemented an image library catalogue system and managed the workflow for a small team.
I worked mainly on pitch ideas and marketing campaigns for a variety of sectors, for clients such as BT, National Express, E-on, Oyster Marine, Crest Nicholson and ITFC. Creating new brand identities, art direction and for campaigns applied to brochures, press advertising, POS, pull up banners and outdoor advertising. I designed and built websites and e-shots in HTML/CSS.
I was responsible for designing websites and building websites in HTML/ CSS. I liaised with clients and project managed on a daily basis. I worked on corporate identities applied to stationery, leaflets, DMs and exhibition stands. Clients included Emma Hardy Photography, Susannah Chenevix-Trench Jewellery and Nomad Travel.
