  • THANTA SIMI
THANTA SIMITHANTA SIMI are words in Quechua, the ancient Inca´s language, and both toguether mean “old language”. For along time it was established that the Incas didn´t have a writing system, but this thought is changing right now, and it is posible because recent studies are revealing that the Tocapus; square motifs present in Inca´s textiles, and ceramic and metal goods; may have the key to decode the forgotten and lost Inca writing. The Tocapus were the inspiration for this furniture, and in this way Thanta Simi aims to bring them back to our daily basis, and giving them the importance they deserve.

  • RUMIYASQA Credenza
RUMIYASQA CredenzaRUMIYASQA Credenza was inspired by Incan architecture, characterized by the use of carved stone blocks that fit perfectly and by the simplicity of its forms, its solidity and its symmetry. The best remains of this architecture are located in the city of Cuzco, Perú; old capital of the Inca Empire; although the arrival of the spanish conquistadors meant the destruction of many buildings, some important Inca stone foundations were used to build catholic churches, convents, and mansions; and in this way they were preserved until today. RUMIYASQA means “as hard as a rock”, and aims to reflect the simplicity, symmetry and solidity of Inca architecture.
