  • Empty Tables. A Tribute to Frank Sinatra
Empty Tables. A Tribute to Frank SinatraThat was the last song Johnny Mercer wrote. He was a close friend of Sinatra and, of course, he wrote it for him. The lyrics are devastating: One man at the end of a career of success feels alone and he only miss a talk, a dinner with a woman. But he is talking to empty tables, there is nobody there to listen to him. The singer in the video, Jordi Rabascall, is a follower of Sinatra since his beginning as an electronic musician. I thought the best way to do a video of Empty Tables it was transfo
  • Camille
CamilleAt the beginning of the 20th century, the French sculptress Camille Claudel experienced one of the most crucial moments in her life: her family locked her in a mental institution. Could that situation be different? Was there any hope? Mercè Montalà stars a drama about one of the most brilliant artists of the past century. What people usually know about Camille Claudel's life is that she was Auguste Rodin's lover. Most of them would also know that she was a great sculptress too and became mad, being shut in a mental institution. Maybe, some of them would discover that she wasn't mad and only a few would realize that she had the opportunity to change this situation. This short is about that moment in Camille Claudel's life, when she tried to change her cruel reality. Her story is not just about a misunderstood artist woman at the beginning of the 20th century. Her story is about all the people that are different; those that society doesn’t want to understand and are forced to stay out.

Work history

I've been working in communication for more than 15 years. Last five, completely dedicated to filmmaking. I was lucky to be awarded best script in the Sitges International Film Festival for my first short film 'Camille', a fiction about the French sculptor Camille Claudel. After that, I worked during three years in a feature documentary about past and present of underground jazz musicians in Barcelona called 'The Jump! WTF experience', released in the In-Edit Beefeater Internationl Film Festival. I directed different fiction short films and audiovisual projectes. Last two challanges were wild:the story of a pirate and a siren in a desert island '(Ferrying Fee', a short film written by Erin Donovan) and a seven minutes reduced version of 'The Odissey', by Homer, for a new literature exhibition center of the Barcelona History Museum. Estudipuche is my own company.   Filmography L’Odissea (2016, audiovisual) Ferrying Fee (2016, short film) The Jump!
