About me
My name is Carmen Tanasescu and I recently graduated from the University of Southampton, with a solid second upper Fashion Marketing degree. I am emailing in regards to the content writer opportunity and I truly believe my past work experience and skill-set make me a matchless candidate for the job. I have previously worked in both England and Romania, for numerous companies in the industry: Diane von Furstenberg, Marie Claire magazine, The Clothing Lounge, just to name a few. When I worked for the Clothing Lounge, specifically, I had to work in a Magento back end, which prompted me to learn how the interface works, which shows my abilities as a fast learner and being responsible, as well as what kind of content and picture editing the website needed on both their home page and product pages, which illustrates my creativity and rapid thinking when solving different problems. In contrast, when I worked for Diane von Furstenberg as a sample sale and wholesale Fashion Week assistant, I developed a hands-on approach to working, as well as building my communication skills, to an unparalleled level. I am a creative, open minded professional, with really strong creative writing skills. I also excel at working in teams, especially in a friendly, fast-pace environment, managing my time excellently and always being annoyingly on time when dealing with deadlines and meetings. I can also work amazingly well with both Windows and Apple softwares, as well as the Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. All these personal and technical skills have been further developed through my studies at University, when I had to create and rationalise different creative briefs in modules like fashion promotion, strategic fashion marketing, digital fashion marketing or fashion business. My ambitions for the near future are to work in a creative, challenging and writing-prone environment and to further my experience into other fields of work, if applicable. As a coffee lover, I enjoy early starts and late evenings, and as a lover of all that’s beautiful, I respect and enjoy looking at art, watching movies, listening to music or reading amazing books. If you would like to see any of my previous works for University or just want to be sure I know how to writer or be creative, don’t hesitate to email or call me. Even DM me on Instagram. I’ve also attached my CV, in case you want to see all this in a more condensed way of phrasing.

Final major project/dissertation - The Millennial consumer behavioural changes in the Romanian streetwear cultureTHE BEGINNING: INTRODUCTION This final major marketing project will analyse the streetwear culture in relationship to its development in the European market. From there, research will show why Romania, out of all the European states, has an undeveloped streetwear culture, especially because of its reputation and former allegiance to the Marxist political structure. The project will find that Millennials are the appropriate, most successful cohort of consumers that are able to expand streetwear i

I followed a Fashion Marketing course for the whole three years, time in which I studied thoroughly the arts of aesthetics, photography, fashion business, promotion and communications. Also, alongside all these, the University paid an exceptional amount of attention to our digital understanding, thus I can handle the Adobe Creative Cloud much like a professional.
