Carolina Sampaio da Costa graduated from Fine-Arts University of Lisbon with a BA in Industrial Design, learning to transform complex ideas into simple and intuitive objects. Carolina is evolving into exhibition design because she can use design as a tool to help the individual be aware of certain values of society which otherwise would probably go unnoticed. As an exhibition designer she has worked for the "Luis Serpa Art Galery" in Lisbon. She also participated in many competitions for Industrial Design and she has done projects for several institutions in Portugal like AMI (Portugese ONG) and Loja Social (Social Department of Lisbon). She is currently a part of the MA Narrative Environments at Central Saints Martins, in order to design spaces for society driven by values and creative thinking. In the future she sees herself working in this type of area because she believe the kind of design this course offers creates the link between culture and society.
Work on several large web campaigns, developing visual on concepts and final proposal for clients and companies Responsible for the visual design. Design some exhibitions and video installations.
In this BA, especially in last year is optional to choose other subjects from other courses, which was in my case: Photography, museology, Graphic design, scenography, drawing and Contemporary Art
