About me

I am the founding editor & publisher of independent interiors & lifestyle magazine 91 Magazine. I set the magazine up from scratch in 2011, initially as an online magazine, but it has been in print since 2016, publishing biannually. Previously I was the picture editor on the FT Weekend House & Home supplement for five years, before going freelance in 2013. Freelance work includes feature writing, guest-editing and picture research for both magazines and books. I also authored my own coffee table interiors book The Shopkeeper's Home, which published in 2015.

  91 Magazine - all editionsEditor on 91 Magazine. Planning content and flat plans, commissioning photographers, writers and illustrators, editing copy and images, working on layouts alongside designer, managing budgets, selling ad spaces, dealing with printers, marketing, etc.

  The New Mindful HomeI worked freelance as the Picture Editor on this book by Joanna Thornhill. Working closely with Joanna to find the right images to accompany her text, working to a tight budget, I sourced the imagery, dealt with contributors, managed the picture budget and ensured all images were of print quality.

  feature writing for Mindful Christmas magazineI wrote a selection of features for Mindful Christmas for their 2018 and 2019 editions. I covered how to create mindful Christmas decor on a budget and I also wrote a couple of festive home tours.
• Regular contributor to In The Moment magazineWhile it was in print, I was a regular feature writer for In The Moment magazine. These are just a small selection of the features I wrote, covering interiors, sustainability and the stories of creatives.

  Columnist for In The Moment magazineI wrote the interiors column for In The Moment magazine for 14 editions, looking at different aspects of the home, design and living.

  The Shopkeeper's HomeI authored this book after pitching the idea to Jacqui Small Publishing. I sourced all of the locations, liaised with shop/home owners, sourced images and assisted in commissioning photographers for shoots where needed.
