About me
Carolyn founded the membership-based movement Creative Entrepreneurs to empower creative people to turn their ideas into successful businesses. Previously, she spent two decades with entertainment giant Time Warner, helping HBO, CNN, Warner Bros. and Time Inc. expand their reach in Europe. When it came to starting her own business, Carolyn felt completely at home on the creative side, but quickly found she ‘didn’t know what she didn’t know’ about the startup business side. Finding that all of her creative sector friends faced the same challenge, she came up with the idea for Creative Entrepreneurs. Launched in 2016 at No. 10 Downing Street, it brings together - for the first time in one place – the business resources, inspiration and networks creative people need to thrive. These include events showcasing creative founder role models, regular mentoring and networking events, training courses with industry experts and workshops at London’s leading creative universities, plus a bank of curated online business support. Carolyn has been named by Creative Review as one of the Top 50 Creative Leaders for 2018, by WIRED Magazine as one of the Top 10 Women Digital Powerbrokers and by BIMA as one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs progressing the creative industries. She is a Life Member of BAFTA.
