A lively and versatile writer, editor, commissioning editor and strategist with particular expertise in lifestyle, travel, culture and branded content across print, digital, video and social platforms.
Short-term role, ending at the end of February. In charge of all editorial for a burgeoning community and education centre in Lake Atitlan. While working on an overarching content strategy, other tasks involve script-writing and overseeing film production, and creating features for international publications, newsletters and blogs.
Freelance writer, editor and consultant. Recent clients include Wolf & Badger, Eurostar, Bookmark Content, Camper & Nicholsons and The Glebe, with work spanning articles, content strategies, subbing and script and copywriting.
New business and consulting editor. As an editorial lead for pitch work coming out of content marketing agency Forward, I worked with the design and commercial teams to conceive of a 360° content strategy before working up creative. On top of managing Forward’s website and blog, other roles included being launch editor of a new concept for Tesco Wine, taking their print offering in a different, more aspirational direction, writing and producing a campaign film for homelessness charity StreetSmart, working with the Forward Arts Foundation, and writing film scripts for Patek Philippe.
Digital destination guides and smart, expert-written travel features for American Express, published in 15 markets and four languages. Managing the overall SEO-centric, trend-led content strategy, I generated all ideas and commissioned leading authors, journalists and bloggers from around the world, also contributing regular articles, subbing, publishing via two CMSs and working across social media, art direction and video. Most recently, I helmed a complete site redesign and relaunch, a year-long project that included a refreshed content strategy, UX and creating 15 new destination guides ahead of expanding into several major markets.
A monthly luxury London lifestyle and property publication. Besides all planning and commissioning, working with the art director to create something consistently new and beautiful on a budget, I produced more than half of the content, plus advertorials, did all subbing and proofing, and ran the active website and Twitter. I extended the print offering, including three extensive supplements, launched a monthly iPad magazine, introduced video content, and relaunched the website – working simultaneously as Luštica Bay’s editor for nine months.
A destination guide for Montenegro’s Luštica Bay, comprising a glossy biannual print and tablet magazine. After creating a brand identity for the destination and producing a launch issue in under a month, I oversaw the creation of a responsive website, created print and digital brochures, two international advertising campaigns, regular emails and press material, and produced articles and supplements for regional and international publications before producing a second issue.
