An internship with Rowboat: The People Experience Crew, a small Design agency specialising in creating amazing experiences for people. My internship involves company branding, social media strategy, creating learning materials for Design Thinking courses and market research. While in Melbourne, I'm also taking advantage of the many MeetUps on topics such as Design Thinking Social media, Entrepreneurship, UX and Marketing.
An internship with DixonBaxi: a creative agency specialising in branding and graphic design. My internship involved creative marketing, design research, supporting the new business director and also supporting the studio management team.
This was a project in collaboration with Lambeth council as a design researcher. The project was to help engage locals in meaningful debates and conversations about the area and their community spaces. I led an interactive creative play outdoor project, which helped locals engage with their community and think about their spaces and surroundings. My work was selected by the Lambeth council to be part of a public exhibition.
I combined full-time university study with part-time employment as a cashier. Here, I developed receptive skills allowing me to communicate easily and effectively with customers.
Grade: 2.1 Collaborated with leading practitioners in design: Europa studio,Tomato studio, Fraser Muggeridge, Sam Winston, Ken Garland, Alex Reuben and Sara De Bondt. Worked with Lambeth Council as a Design Researcher, to help engage the public into meaningful debates about their community. Worked with Ss Alban & Stephen Nursery to design and make a teaching aid to help children learn the reading and writing method, phonics. Focused my disseration on how play aids preschoolers in education.
Grade: Triple Distinction* (equivalent to A-level grades: AAA) Had classes on: graphics, art history, typography, photography, drawing, advertising, print-making, motion graphics and life drawing.
