Catherine Pennington-Meyer is an award-winning artist based in Germany. Her work characterises a deep connection between the literary and visual arts. Catherine, who holds a Master of Arts degree as well as a post-graduate Master of Science degree often uses snatches of her own narrative to inspire and infuse the mood and meaning of her painting, frequently coupling both verbal and pictorial in her final compositions. Catherine particularly enjoys abstract painting, due to the emotional expression that it allows and she aims to inject her paintings, in general, with emotion, light and movement. Catherine prefers to work with acrylic paint and ink due to the flexibility it allows. Catherine currently owns and runs WHITE SPACE, a gallery in Augsburg selling her art, and also enjoys working on commissions and works with commercial undertakings such as the Fünf Höfe in Munich, and Scabal in Augsburg. She currently offers a rental model for her art, in addition to direct sales.
