Working closely with high profile artists, my role required strong communication skills when dealing with producers, managers and artists, to produce a successful national radio campaign for a high?pressured global album release. Being available 24/7, often working over time, on weekends and late at night. For example, creating and managing the logistics of a four or five day promotional schedule, liaising with managers, artists and media outlets, incorporating the artists diary, maximising their allotted time in the most efficient and beneficial way possible.
Working closely with Scottish singer/ songwriter Paolo during the final months of his album cycle, effective communication skills were an absolute must to make every request happen. Duties included arranging work visas for the US or Australia, arranging medical and travel insurance, signing off invoices and planning after show parties at various locations were some of the daily duties. Pre?empting the whims and demands of the artist, from sourcing a particular bottle of aged whiskey to sorting the logistics of a last minute excursion. Exceptional attention to detail: arranging private dinner parties or ordering bespoke designer performance outfits for arena shows. Having flexibility & being available around the clock, 24/7.
I was American recording artist Kelis’s PA and occasional road manager while touring the UK, Europe, Australia and Japan. This involved a huge amount of travel but with the extra challenge of meeting requests in foreign countries. Attention to detail, diligence and motivation was key. Part of the role included housekeeping & laundry duties at her temporary London residence, grocery shopping and packing up her UK residence in?between tours. On call 24/7 at home and on the road. Routinely liaising on behalf of Kelis with her manager, accountant lawyer and business manager.
