About me
Hello, my name is Cátia Laranjeira and I'm a graphic designer based in Porto.
I'm passionate about this city so I'm currently looking for some freelancing opportunities with foreign companies or a remote job. I really love exchanging knowledge and meeting new people, so I'd like to work with people from different countries. I also feel like design has a more important role abroad than in Portugal and a new challenging job would drive me to improve my current skill set.
As for my work experience and degree, I studied Graphic Design in Caldas da Rainha's ESAD, graduating in 2015. I moved to Porto, where I started working as a photo editor in Jornal de Notícias newspaper and started working as a Graphic Designer Trainer. For this period of time, I also did some freelancing and collaborated with a communication design studio in Famalicão — which was, actually, where I had the time of my life. I worked face to face with each client to meet their criteria and also produce interesting and beautiful designs and established a great professional relationship with both copywriters and developers. Besides the freelance designing, I recently started working in an online shoe store where I do social media content, management, and product styling, which doesn't fulfill me entirely. I'm looking forward to getting back to team environment where design is appreciated and cultivated.

I started working as a Adobe Photoshop trainer in Grupo rumos back in 2006. I also train other classes as Typography, Design Theory, Colors Theory and photography concepts for begginers.

As a Freelancer i mainly work with editorial, branding and Ui design.
Right now i'm collaborating with some music labels where i'm responsible for making posters, tickets and facebook communication for some concerts they promote.
I'm also working with a online shoes store where i'm learning social media marketing tools at the same time I do the visual communication they need for those platforms.
Before all of these I used to work with a marketing agency where I developed all the visual communication for their clients such as branding and UI.
