  • Lloyds Banking Group Project Lifecycle Infographics
Lloyds Banking Group Project Lifecycle InfographicsI was commissioned by Lloyds Digital Banking Engineering Transformation Team to design a series of print infographics that represented the the project flow for new initiatives between three primary systems for tracking delivery. The infographic would be used across offices in India and the United Kingdom and so would need to use a combination of imagery and plain English to describe the movement of digital projects between these three primary tracking stages in an Agile delivery environment. I interviewed delivery and tech managers from across digital services to gain perspective on the suite of tools and their use in tracking the development of new digital initiatives to develop a wireframe for the project. I then developed a set of stylised graphics and copy to overlay this wireframe to represent the process flow that transcended cultural and language barriers. The graphics were designed as multi purpose assets to develop an image based language that could be reused to describe other related activities across the business.
  • Brockley Market Seasonal Produce Chart
Brockley Market Seasonal Produce ChartBrockley Market is an award-winning produce and street food market operating in London, with a keen emphasis on community and supporting local small businesses using organic, ethically sourced ingredients. I was commissioned to design a seasonal produce chart to educate visitors to the market about the availability of fruit and vegetables native to the United Kingdom. It critical that the chart should share a strong identity with the market and Brockley to ensure that the message resonated strongly with the community. To look for distinctive elements at the space, I did a photoshoot of the market on a busy day. I was inspired by the physical layout of the vendors within the Lewisham College car park, as well as the atmospheric bunting and vintage crates used at many of the stands. The vendors themselves became the column headers, with the bunting as a distinctive border and crates as labels for the fruits and vegetables. These were combined with the pre-existing branded elements of the market, including the radiating blue background and the Brockley Market logo.To determine the content, I researched a range of agricultural sources to identify a selection of fruit and vegetables native to the UK. Here I was eager to put together a mix that of easy-to-find produce, like carrots and apples, alongside some more adventurous items, such as the morel mushrooms and elderflowers, to ensure the guide was both immediately useful and inspiring to its audience. The chart was featured in February 2013 on Creativebloq.com.
  • The Churches Conservation Trust
The Churches Conservation TrustI was commissioned to to design the visual elements for a pitch to the Heritage Lottery Fund for phase 2 funding for the development of the Canny Space Holy Trinity Church in Sunderland being undertaken by the Churches Conservation Trust. I brought on a second designer Rob Pearce to assist with the development of the visuals following the successful delivery of artwork for the project in Kings Lynn. The illustration 'The North Prospect of the town of Sunderland in the Bishoprick of Durham' was originally created by Samuel Buck in the 18th century. A cut out from this image had been used previously to promote an event celebrating the heritage of the Holy Trinity Church and it was deemed appropriate for the presentation that this image should be adapted to provide a more modern feel to the image to create a sense of continuity with the ongoing restoration of the site. To achieve this I used a variety of custom textures, lighting filters and photography to colour the image. I then layered some illustrations created by myself which matched the look and feel of the original illustration while bringing the architecture of the church up to date.
