About me

Chantal Mcleish is a recently graduated textile designer that studied at Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. Although she specialized in Knitwear Design, she is also interested in Print Design and Styling. Her influences strongly come from her background, a Scandinavian Style: modern, clean cuts, edginess, freshness and simplicity in the garments, the unique, simple and bold color palette that is often used in her work.

  Graduate CollectionThe aim was to produce Menswear/Unisex knitwear for commercial Fashion. Influenced by gridded and indented walls coming from an architectural point of view by using as primary research photographs of colorful shipping and bin containers from around Glasgow and Amsterdam. Looking closer into the surface of each one of my photographs I wanted to mix up the different textures that are presented. Under the use of a scanner, I collaged together different photographs to create a mixed pattern image. T
