• Works alongside the Designer and Senior Buyer to maintain an efficient working relationship with fabric mills, suppliers and the in-house pattern room
• Manages the critical path for each style, throughout all stages of development, from sketch to store, ensuring that all styles come into the business at the correct time, and within their designated story.
• Personally negotiates all orders within the department; utilising strong relationships with suppliers to achieve the best margin possible.
• Deputises for the Senior Buyer on occasion; using a strong knowledge of the Boutique department’s shared vision to plan accordingly.
• Works alongside the Junior Merchandiser to ensure the Range Plan is up to date and reflective of each Supplier’s critical path
• Upon arrival in the department, established new systems to introduce a smoother way of work. IE: creating a ‘CLOTH BIBLE’; featuring all cloths in commitment and the metres left of each. This has allowed the team to utilize the cloth library and promote sustainability by avoiding wastage of older cloth.
