Charlie looks after the soft categories within kidswear which covers sportswear, swimwear, nightwear and underwear for boys and girls aged 2-14. Charlie manages the critical path and oversees the full development process of design, from initial trend to briefing, range building and fits. She is known for her organised work ethic and ability to deliver to deadlines. In nightwear alone, she has seen sales growth of 54%, her passion for new projects has allowed them to bring multiple ranges in house, providing them with a consistent brand handwriting. Charlie has great working relationships with buying and technologists that are exemplary of her approachable ‘can-do’ attitude and problem solving skills when negotiating with these teams.
In addition to her role in design Charlie reached out to the Responsible Sourcing team early on in her John Lewis career to build a new relationship with Fashion. She has since curated and delivered a series of workshops with her Head of Buying that held the ethos better design = better business. Charlie is known for her dedication to making sustainability come to life at JL and it has become integral to key strategies and re-branding, always going above and beyond her outlined role.

Managing the product development for all menswear production and critical path each season. This role included sourcing new factories and suppliers and creating technical sheets, costing and invoicing. Charlie produced precise and detailed tech-packs for outerwear and managed interns who assisted this process.
