Projects
- ReconnectReconnect is a bespoke surface design for public transport tables. Reconnect is inspired by human interaction and experience at the table. The table is a symbol of connectivity. It is the centre of a home or community: a space for shared enjoyment, human experience and equal social exchange. The vitality and value of the domestic table is lost as soon as we leave the comfort of our homes. Tables within public transport interiors encourage a constant state of working or connecting with technology, an obsession for sitting alone and a life constantly ‘on the go’. There is a lack of human interaction, a lack of any connectivity with each other or the environment. Reconnect aims to bring people together around the train table and to elevate everyday living. The surface design encourages meaningful relationships between the environment and its users, using shape and colour to change the way we feel and behave within this space.
- TogetherTogether table is a collaboration piece between Charlotte Cropper and furniture designer, Micheal Giambrone. With a shared fascination of the table and social connectivity, Charlotte and Micheal combined their disciplines to question how furniture and surface design can change the way people behave in different spaces. Together they designed and handcrafted this table. Materials: Plywood, Hickory, Purple Heart and Jarrah veneer
