Responsibilities – Managed time sufficiently between both marketing and colour and trend teams. Colour and Trend team – responsible for working on client projects, all initial research, compiling research into trend boards and colour work. Assisted Stylist for prop shoots for trend section of MIX Magazine, developed prints and fabrics for shoot. Marketing role – responsible for dealing with current and new magazine subscribers, driving marketing and social media campaigns, blog contributions, composing newsletters, editing the website and handling all forms of social media. Coming from a trend driven background I was responsible for all initial trend research based projects with a special emphasis on fabric and textile related tasks. When assisting the stylist and photographer for the SS17 trends prop shoot I was responsible for sourcing all fabrics based on their properties and suitability to each trend. Thorough knowledge in textiles and catwalk trends benefited the company by introducing fashion inputs and perspectives into interior based projects, understanding technical textile processes and material properties allowed for a new output across all trend and research tasks.
Responsibilities – Assisting head of Print and Jacquard Department for developments for SS15 womens and mens swim and sportswear and AW15 print and jacquard design for intimates. Researched current and future fashion trends, attended trend talks in Milan on behalf of the company and used initiative to suggest innovative new design solutions and trends for the company. As a British designer I was responsible and expected to introduce an international perspective on the newest print and jacquard designs across all design ranges. With extensive research into catwalk trends and material developments I helped direct the design path towards a response of newness and innovation with commercial viability being considered throughout.
Responsibilities – Assisted the Textiles & Print Department for developments for Resort 14, Menswear SS14 presentation and Womenswear SS14 research and development. Assisted fittings and helped at Menswear SS14 presentation. Worked on digital files using CAD programmes to translate artworks for prints and embroidery. Adapted quickly to new working environment and technical processes.
