I was a winner of the NPower Future Leaders competition 2013 where, as a group of three students, we had to initiate and run a sustainability project within our school. As a winner I was taken with a team to a village in the Amazon in Brazil where we built a solar powered water pump to make water available for the villagers as well as installing solar powered light bulbs into each of the huts in the village.
