  • For the past 2 years, I have been slowly building up my own small craft business alongside part time employment. Since December 2015, I have been self-employed on a full time basis. I design, make and sell a range of hand crocheted products both online and at organised public craft events.

General Assistant

Hobbycraft

  • My main duties in this position included delivering excellent customer service on the shop floor by ensuring all customers located the products they were looking for and left the store happy. I dealt primarily with the haberdashery and knitting departments assisting customers with calculating fabric and yarn quantities, cutting fabrics and advising on the most suitable products for their projects. I was also responsible for keeping these departments fully stocked and tidy. Other duties include processing sales, refunds and exchanges at the checkouts and I was often responsible for leading the in-store product demonstrations and craft classes

2012

Customer Advisor

Argos

Jun 2006 - Nov 2012
  • Duties included serving customers at the checkouts and dealing with all customer enquiries, refunds and exchanges at the customer services counter. I played a very active role in the jewellery department, serving at the counter, maintaining the displays and performing watch alterations. I was also responsible for replenishing displays, taking deliveries and maintaining the stockroom.
