  • Little White Lies Cover
Little White Lies CoverLittle White Lies is an internationally distributed movie magazine published by TCOLondon. Each edition features a lead character from a current movie, each one produced by a different illustrator. I designed this cover, based on the movie ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’, as a competition entry. I combined graphite sketching and photography with silk screen printing.
  • Memoirs of a Geisha
Memoirs of a GeishaFor a self-initiated illustration and layout project I decided to produce an illustrated, hard backed copy of one of my favourite novels, Memoirs of a Geisha. I created mixed media illustrations, layering traditional kimono prints with folded tissue paper and inks. Each layer was inspired by imagery conjured by Arthur Golden’s writing.
  • Boots Travel Wash Bags
Boots Travel Wash BagsI was briefed to design a travel-themed range of wash-bags, targeting a young female consumer, for Boots. I created two potential routes with hand illustrated pattern and placement options using line-work and brush textures. This project was completed whilst I was employed by And Ltd.
  • Classic Peter Rabbit
Classic Peter RabbitStow Green asked us to create a Peter Rabbit “Classic” range of home-wares which was intended to evoke a traditional Beatrix Potter look and feel with some contemporary appeal. The range spanned various materials including ceramic, fabric, melamine and wood. I devised a colour palette based on elements from the original Beatrix Potter illustrations, utilised the signature logo throughout the range and played up on key elements from the original stories, including Peter’s handkerchief. I used the original illustrations combined with extracted line drawings to create new patterns and borders, which I then applied as placements throughout the range. This project was completed whilst I was employed by And Ltd.
  • LDNM Guide Layout
LDNM Guide LayoutI have provided layouts and graphics for several of the LDNM e-guides over the last two years using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. It was decided that the recently released Bikini Home Workout guide should have a more editorial feel than it’s predecessors. As it’s aimed at women with less fitness experience, a slightly softer, more accessible look and feel was called for, without compromising credibility.
  • LDNM Tube Advert
LDNM Tube AdvertI was commissioned by LDNM to design a cross-rail advert, which would appear in 25 locations across 16 London Underground stations. The ads ran from Christmas 2015 - mid January 2016. LDNM is a relatively young brand, rapidly growing in popularity, so one of the key aims was to raise brand awareness with an authoritative tone of voice, instilling confidence in both new and existing followers. There was a lot to communicate within the ad to those unfamiliar with the brand, whilst a key consideration was the need for instantaneous impact. The short timeframe the audience would have to engage with the ad called for a strong and memorable presence of the LDNM logo, coupled with captivating, aspirational physique imagery. The inspiration behind the final design was a glossy magazine cover.
