PZ Cussons Beauty Houses five premium beauty brands: St.Tropez, Sanctuary Spa, Charles Worthington, Fudge Professional and Fudge Urban. As a Graphic Designer for PZCB I work on all brands, liaising closely with International Brand/Marketing teams, New Product Development and PR teams to create interesting, innovative and practical design solutions to all of these teams various needs. Vast experience gained working on marketing collateral, press ads, retail advertising/point of sale (POS) material, press releases, brand brochures, web and social assets, pack artworking, concepting for hero photography, creating brand/image use guidelines and designing stand-visuals for exhibitions including Pro-Hair Live and Professional Beauty to name just two. This involves working closely with stakeholders such as third-party companies, be it retailers, agencies or printers and managing workload/workflow while maintaining business critical timeframes. Marketing/Brand: Working primarily with print media I have a great understanding of different print processes by working on many Media Schedules I understand the need for colour profiles, including ink coverage rules/recommendations. I have been able to utilise and develop my leadership skills within the opportunity to help and guide new team members. Alongside this I have been able to assess briefs in terms of the economic impact on the team’s time and the cost of this to the business.
Designing for all areas of POS, Newspaper Advertising for 80+ lettings branches covering nine brands across 18 counties. From collation of branch copy and physical specs to finished artwork delivery within strict timeframes. Delivering brand messages through creative design and editorial input. Liaising with branch staff on marketing and campaign ideas. Creating brochures, flyers, posters and other ad hoc materials.
A design and consultancy role within the internal communications team. I provided the organisation with a range of skills, expertise and advice in graphic design and related areas of operation; marketing, branding etc. The challenges were wide and varied. This role included producing annual reports, dealing directly with the Chief Executive, designing various print media, presentations and ad hoc digital design for internal and public use as well as engaging directly with the community.
