About me

I manage a community comprised of research academics from around the world for the Dutch publisher & information solutions organisation, Elsevier. We conduct user research with these academics, ranging from PhD - Professor. I am responsible for growth of this community (140 - 800+ since I began in Aug 2015), communications and relationship building, recruiting for user research tests as well as, a lot of organisation, coordination and management. I have sat in many hours of tests & interviews, which, has given me a great insight into the researchers themselves, as well as, the world of user research in the tech environment. I manage a community for user research, rather than the more traditional idea of what a Community Manager is, although, there is a lot cross-over, of course. I am a people person who likes to build things, grow things. :)
