I am an award winning graphic designer with five years of both agency and in-house experience. I strive to create flawless, imaginative and stand out from the crowd work, particularly in the luxury print, editorial, powerpoint and infographics sectors. Outside of working hours I am passionate about travel and exploring the world; seeing new countries, meeting new people and soaking up new cultures. This led me to create ‘The Travelling Type’ where I collect and document typography I find from around the world. Follow me here @_thetravellingtype. Senior Graphic Designer for the second largest global media agency group. Working alongside the International and UK new business and marketing teams to design and create a large range of collateral to primarily aid the pitching process and external marketing materials. • Responsible for the creative output for multi-million pound pitches for global brands. I have worked on a vast selection of brands through a cross section of multiple sectors. Some of the biggest brands include, Telefonica, Volkswagen Group, Reckitt Benckiser, Molson Coors, 21st Century Fox, British Airways, Compare the Market, eBay, L’Oreal, RBS, TFL and Harvey Nichols. • Confident in working under high pressure, with tight turnovers, long hours and intense deadlines. I’m a dedicated team player and comfortable heading up the studio brainstorm sessions, leading the creative output of pitches as well as working one on one with various people in the agency. • I lead the design process for pitches, which involves being highly organised, confident in liasing and managing expectations from higher management, juggling multiple jobs simulateneously, dealing out work to other members of the team and ensuring all work is done to a high and consistent standard. • I am keen to constantly push the creative output of the studio and am not afraid to take risks in terms of trying out of the box ideas that the company hasn’t tried before. This has taken the studio from strength to strength and has enabled us to be a integral part of the agency. • Cherry picked by the Managing Director to work with him and the upper management team on a multi-billion pound global pitch to create and produce all of the collateral for the meeting. • Work closely with external events companies to produce large scale collateral for media events. • Volunteer my time to the social committee to create posters for up and coming events. I also do work with the company charity to design ads that have been featured in the Metro, on the tube and bus shelters in Camden. • Manager and mentor to junior members of the team, helping and guiding them with all aspects of day to day work, from support and help with briefs, brainstorming ideas and helping with software questions. • With my strong presence in print design, I have built a good rapport with a number of printers in Central London who I trust will give me the best price, within a tight deadline and to the best quality. • I organise team trips out to visit exhibitions, galleries and design conferences, with emphasis on team bonding.
Junior Graphic Designer for a small boutique agency specialising in design outputs for the property sector. • Comfortable from taking a project from the initial briefing stage right through to completion. • Working under pressure and with tight deadlines to get the work completed. • Liasing with printers and setting up artwork correctly to be sent to print. • Dealing with clients to produce work they are 100% happy with.
Part of the in-house design team for a global pottery manufacturing company. • Responsible for designing and artworking across a range of formats including: packaging, POS, flyers, web banners, exhibition stands, leaflets and brochures. • Taking photos of tableware to go on packaging, websites and to be sent to distributors. • Confident in setting up artwork to strict specifications. I worked with major brands including: Jamie Oliver, Cath Kidston, Disney and retailers including Debenhams and John Lewis which have specific brand guidelines. • Developed my eye for layout and typography skills. • Designing and setting up graphics and show banners for exhibitions. • Designing presentations for the sales team to generate new business. • Reformatting images for the website. • Liaising with printers and setting up artwork correctly to be sent to the printers and factory. • Working the marketing team to write copy for various literature for packaging, POS and leaflets. • Liaising and communicating with the marketing & sales team to ensure the brief gets fulfilled and completed on time.
