Education

2016

BA English and Italian

University of Leeds

Sep 2012 - Jul 2016
  • Leeds, United Kingdom
  • 4-year joint honours course in English and Italian. I started learning the Italian language from scratch whilst at university, and reached a competent level in 2 years so I could live and study abroad in Italy during my 3rd year of university. During this time I studied at Universita' degli Studi di Verona and passed examinations on Italian Business, Cinema and Culture whilst there. I followed up on my business studies in Italian upon my return to the University of Leeds with a module focused on the 'Made in Italy' phenomenon, and carried out a marketing report of a product launch entirely in Italian. In my final year at Leeds, I also developed my translation skills, and feel confident in my ability to carry out journalistic, literary and business-specific translations such as press releases.
