- Ampersand Magazine CoverMy response to a brief at www.Briefbox.me to design a cover for a magazine called Ampersand. The concept for my design is that each cover would feature a large ampersand that can be filled in or reworked depending on the main cover article. In this example, the main article is "Tools of the Trade" so I created a digital illustration within the ampersand symbol of various tools used by creatives.
- Loyalty Card for Clothing CompanyThis is my response to a brief by briefbox.me, to design a loyalty card for a clothing company called "Full Circle." The client wanted neon colours and script typography, reminiscent of 1980's fashion and music videos. In my response to this brief I used retro typefaces and neon colours to give it that 80?s feel. It’s custom circular shape compliments the name of the company and makes it stand out from other loyalty cards, whilst still being small enough to fit inside a purse or wallet for the customer’s convenience.
- Films at 21 - Flyer DesignHere is my response to a brief found at www.Briefbox.me, to design an A5 flyer promoting a film production company called "Films At 21." The brief required something very simple with a clean, modern, digital feel and must incorporate the words "Open for business." The words "open for business" made me think of signs in shop windows and neon signage etc. so I took this as inspiration to create some bold typographical pieces. The brief requested something very simple, so my first design focuses only on type. The second design is more detailed where the typography is featured in a scene. I thought the front of a cinema would work well to show the film aspect of the company as well as showcasing flamboyant marquee lighting. Although this was a fairly small project taking only a couple of days to complete, I have enjoyed focusing on typographical elements to add another dimension to my illustrative style.
