I have recently moved to London, originally from Southport. After completing my degree earlier this year 2015, achieving a First Class Honours, I thought it was now the time to pursue my dream, which was starting a career in London. I am passionate towards the Media Industry, I enjoy being creative and revamping new ideas. I enjoy working as part of a team and using my own initiative. I am friendly, personable and always go that extra mile to achieve the best of my ability. Giving up is not an option.
I was invited to an Interview with ITV after my CV being shortlisted. I attended the interview, and received a call later that day to start the following week. I worked within the factual department, and it was my responsibility to be the assistant of the Producers. Task Involved: - Watching old video clips and selecting time slots which I think would be useful for the documentary - Logging information - Reporting back to the producer - Researching & Planning - Helping on set - Being punctual, reliable and personable - Traveled to London and Salford in the same day to give the director the SD Card- being able to go that extra mile
I worked with Seen Magazine whilst studying for my Degree- I thought it was important to gain media experience, as then I am more likely to be employable after I have graduated. The Job involved: - Filming, Editing, Directing & Producing - Reporting back to the manager at all times - Being prepared to work well under tight deadlines - Being able to give orders - Being confident, interviewing high profile people
I began as coffee and reset- however my manager explained that I was one of the first employees who progressed quickly into Head Waitress Role. As a head waitress in a 4.5* Hotel, it was my responsibility to make sure all my customers are getting quick service with a polite and friendly manner. - I was a quick worker, and served over 500 covers in one evening - I was a multi-tasker - I worked well with my runner, I had to give orders however I was always friendly and polite as I believe that team work is important and crucial - if you treat everyone with respect they will work harder because of this. - Being able to deal with problems in high demand - Serving high profile people under pressure - Having a good knowledge of food and beverages
