About me
Hi - I’m Chloe and I’m a freelance illustrator based in Sussex! I love to create work that is influenced by everyday life and pop culture and that provides an element of relatability to my audience through the environments and situations I portray. I want to create work that people will recognise themselves in.
Projects
  • Social Media Snapshots
Social Media SnapshotsThis is a short series of images I produced as part of my university Pre-Major Project where I focused on how people choose to present themselves on their social media profiles, in particular Instagram, and how this can differ from the mundane reality of everyday life, which I showed through the use of fantastical colours and environments.
  • 2B Human Wallpaper - Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe
2B Human Wallpaper - Bournemouth Emerging Arts FringeThis is a wallpaper that I designed for the Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe (BEAF) competition which entailed designing a phone wallpaper around the theme '2B Human'. I chose to interpret the theme as the ways in which we as humans express out emotions. My wallpaper was chosen as one of the runners up and is available on the BEAF Instagram page.
  • Covid Comics
Covid ComicsAs my Final Major Project for my degree I created a series of small comics based around self-isolation. My initial idea was to do a series of comics based on positive ways to spend your alone time and how comfort can be found in the mundane. However, I changed the theme slightly to be centered around self-isolation after the outbreak of Covid-19 as my original theme had suddenly become very relevant to everybody.
