About me
I'm director of STUDIO MEINECK - we create carefully considered award winning social design - we specialise in co-designing and electronics. We are bringing our first product into production - Music Memory Box - for people living with dementia and their families. We also run workshops on how to co-design, talk at many events and consult on research projects. We have particular interest in embedded technologies, socially engaged projects, mental health, identity and sustainable design theories.

Music Memory Box Case Study - Brunel CareOur Story While visiting her great gran who was living with dementia, Chloe Meineck witnessed the transformative effects of music. Her great gran would struggle to recognise faces but was able to play songs from her youth on the piano. Finding that there was a lack of specialised and personal dementia music products, Chloe decided to create her own – and Music Memory Box was born. • My life as a courgette
My life as a courgetteIf you haven’t seen My Life as a Courgette yet, I would recommend giving it a watch. It’s a beautifully crafted stop motion animation film by Swiss filmmaker Claude Barras. The film is about a small boy who likes to be named ‘Courgette’. It especially resonated with me because of the film’s similar themes to Studio Meineck’s project, trove.  trove explores how precious objects can hold important stories for children in care and adopted children, to help support their sense of identity.
  • Trove
TroveWhat is it? trove is a treasure chest for children’s most precious things. Using headphones, the simple button interface and a sticker, you can then record an audio story to an object. You can then listen back to the objects story, record another one or scroll through the archive of all the stories you have ever told trove. Trove is intuitive and gives audio instructions to help you navigate through attaching stories to objects. Trove helps children to understand who they are and to support them through times of change and uncertainty. Though trove is for all children, it was initially developed with support from leading adoption agency, Coram to help children who have been adopted or are in care.

This International Women’s Day, meet the 200 Women Redefining the Creative Industry in 2018Discover our 2020 list here This International Women's Day, we asked influential icons to nominate 10 trailblazing women who they believe are redefining the creator landscape. The result? A unique and incredible list of 200 trailblazing women breaking barriers and inspiring change! Only 36% of jobs in the creative sector are currently filled by women. At the top of the tree there’s an even bigger problem - women make up only 11% of Creative Directors. In an attempt to change this, our month-lo
