About me
I am currently in my final at The Arts University Bournemouth, studying BA (Hons) Textiles. I take pleasure in producing detailed drawings and paintings which I enjoy translating onto textiles for interior applications. I have a passion for colour which enhances my drawings and creates excitement in my samples. I specialise in screen printing for soft furnishings but mainly wallpapers. I enjoy creating digital designs on fabric which are too complex for screen printing. I also enjoy experimenting with laser etching onto hard materials, such as mirrors, to compliment my fabrics and wallpapers. Using these skills and techniques, I am able to create visually appealing and experimental collections.

- Nature For WellnessAs a designer, I am drawn to aspects of nature for inspiration due to its fluidity, texture and delicacy. This collection of interior fabrics and wallpapers for luxury Hotels and Spas is inspired by dried flower bundles and herbal smudge sticks. These are often associated with health benefits and healing through the use of aromas and medicines. The colours and appearance of the arrangements of bundles have provided me with interesting motifs and repeats to translate into my collection. I have ai
- Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)During a visit to London I visited the Royal Observatory Museum in Greenwich which was based on space and time. However, it wasn’t this that I was drawn to, it was the architecture, which dated back to 1645 and greenery surrounding them that caught my eye. In addition to this, the location is where Greenwich mean time (GMT) is based which I thought would be an interesting concept to drive my designs. I completed a month placement at Mirjam Rouden studios during my first year of studying textiles. As I am a strong drawer and painter, I worked in the drawing department where I produced different drawings in different medias of tropical birds and foliage. These drawings were then translated into digital designs. This placement gave me an insight into industry and helped me discover that I would like to work within a company where team work is key in the making process.
