I am responsible for creating viral video content for Jungle Creations, a media company who run a variety of Facebook pages that collectively have over 20 million ‘likes’. I am required to shoot 10 videos each week, all of which have to appeal to our target audience of 18-35 year olds. Over the past year my videos have achieved over 100m views. I have a strong grasp of every element of the production lifecycle: scheduling, researching, casting, filming, post-production, scripting and editing. The environment I work in is incredibly high pressured due to the amount of content we have to create each day, but it is an atmosphere I thrive in. I’m brimming with ideas of how to make exciting content for digital platforms.
The majority of the projects I shoot are viral food videos, but I have also been involved in a wide range of other projects. In January I visited the migrant camp in Calais and produced a three minute documentary, which aimed to give our audience an idea of the conditions that people were living in inside the camp. I have also written and produced a series of comedy sketches that have been well received on social media. Key Responsibilities Pitching viral video ideas that will capture the imagination of the company’s audience. Once the idea is approved, it is my job to shoot the footage - I am an accomplished user of DSLR cameras. When the video has been shot I edit the footage using Final Cut Pro X. I have a strong grasp of every element of the production lifecycle: scheduling, researching, casting, filming, post-production, scripting and editing.
As a secondary school drama teacher in an inner city London school it was my responsibility to give the children I taught the chance to express themselves creatively. Key Responsibilities Planning and delivering schemes of work and lessons that met the requirements of the KS3, 4 and 5. Being a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in Drama. To complete the relevant documentation to assist in the tracking of students.
