Studio Hosego is an illustration duo that specialises in combining complex and layered narratives into one clear visual story. In a nutshell, Studio Hosego examines our modern society and it’s culture, through the lens of art history and ancient philosophy.
Following the renaissance tradition, leaning strongly towards the visual language of Albrecht Dürer, Studio Hosego combines classical and contemporary symbolism to create impactful and relevant imagery; often allowing the past to comment on the future and vice versa. Their illustrations are equally relevant, poignant as they are contemporary and humorously absurd.
Studio Hosego strives to tell a different story; one of layers, nuance, irony, and conflicting and evolving ideals, all playing out at the same time in one epic scene.
