About me
With over 15 years of design and creative experience at agencies, in-house, and freelancing, I've worked in diverse industries, including sports, entertainment, real estate, technology, education, finance, consumer packaged goods, retail, travel, tourism, healthcare, pharma, beauty, and non-profit. This exposure has helped me develop processes to understand the target audience regardless of industry. A broad set of design focuses, including creative/art direction, branding, web, digital, social media, print, events/experiential, out-of-home, photography, video, packaging, and presentations, make up my skill set. A strength of mine is combining these pieces into comprehensive brand identities, campaigns, and design systems with consistency to promote creative standards and design with strategic intent. I thoroughly enjoy being involved in creative projects from concept to delivery, ensuring thoughtful creativity, accurate timelines, and consistent brand standards. Establishing processes, guidelines, and culture is essential to boosting creativity and efficient workflows. I always strive to expand my skillset and stay up-to-date with evolving technology and trends. I pride myself on developing creative concepts from thorough research and meticulous attention to detail. This diverse range translates well into the needs of almost any project. I have led teams of designers, photographers, videographers, copywriters, and content creators to ensure deliverables adhere to the creative direction laid out in briefs and schedules are on track. In that leadership, I have mentored junior-level designers to enhance their real-world design knowledge, build their creative confidence, and increase their attention to detail. I don't shy away from needed production work like building out banner ad sets or pre-press before a project goes to a print shop. And I am comfortable pitching concepts to clients and working with them on changes, feedback, and keeping projects in motion.
Projects
  • Sun Burst Inn Logo
Sun Burst Inn LogoSun Burst Inn is a beach-front resort hotel in Indian Shores, Florida. The client used multiple logo iterations and brand assets and needed to refine everything into one cohesive identity. This project solidifies a logo as a basis for a future brand identity that establishes a unique Sun Burst Inn brand.
  • Artemis Lifestyles Logo
Artemis Lifestyles LogoArtemis Lifestyles is a lifestyle and property management company formed from the merger of the Titan and Aegis companies. This newly formed company required an updated, modern brand identity. The client wanted a less corporate look and a better representation of the "Florida Lifestyle" of their clients' development properties.
  • Gasparilla Bowl T-Shirts
Gasparilla Bowl T-ShirtsThese are the official t-shirt designs for the 2017 Gasparilla Bowl NCAA football game between the Temple Owls and the FIU Panthers at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL, and put on by ESPN. The imagery for the bowl's visual identity didn't fit the vendor's screen printing specifications, necessitating an alternate design. A typographical approach utilizing the taglines combined with a vector version of the pirate ship sails from the visual identity provides an attractive solution.
  • The Strand Brochure
The Strand BrochureThe Strand is a luxury waterfront community in Sarasota, FL selling new construction condos. This sales brochure is the first design piece produced after the initial naming and logo design process. The Strand's new brand assets combine to establish the brand identity in this brochure design.
  • BioBag Retail Packaging
BioBag Retail PackagingBioBag updated its retail packaging as the first step in a new brand identity. The packaging also needed to be modernized as distribution expanded to include more national retailers to have better appeal to a larger, less niche consumer market. The background leaf image represents the product line as a "green" alternative to regular plastic. The coloring also matches the brand's primary green color. Each product has a main image depicting its use and contains the brand's green and distinctive c
  • Neotraditional Digital Illustrations
Neotraditional Digital IllustrationsThese digital illustrations are a personal art project. They are drawn in Adobe Fresco on an iPad Pro 12.9" with an Apple Pencil. The inspiration for these illustrations comes from American Traditional and Neo-traditional tattoos. The goal was to create six illustrations in one weekend to brush up on traditional drawing and digital illustration skills for future projects. The main challenge was consistency in techniques and style choices across all six illustrations.
