From a humble beginning running in Soho digital post-house Molinaire, I now bring over a decade of long and short-form production experience to any company from the world of broadcast, online and advertising. I’ve produced and directed award-winning campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest broadcasters, worked with an International team of creatives across several European languages, whilst maintaining the strong brand ethos for any company I’ve been lucky enough to work with.
Responsible for ensuring production teams adhere to high creative standards and strict brand guidelines for Google and YouTube. Budgets range from 5-200K for both live action and animation, including Google Science Fair, YouTube Your Film Festival and Google Cultural institute. A client facing role, responsibilities include pitching, creative direction, allocating appropriate talent/ resources and brief interrogation. Management of production and post-production team including appraisals, succession planning and conflict resolution. Chaired weekly meeting with producers and post production staff to identify issues.
Mentoring and managing a team of creatives delivering promos and TVC’s across various International channels. Responsibilities included creative direction, ensuring accurate translations, appraisals and team conflict resolution, meeting very tight client deadlines and budgets. Client facing, responsible for interrogating briefs and pitching to key stakeholders. Changed internal processes in order to streamline outdated resource allocation along with a new starters handbook and on-boarding process.
Worked on various high profile TVC launches including the X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Brit Awards. Responsible for maintaining high editing and copywriting standards, liaising with talent and key stakeholders and working within set briefs and budgets. Produced content across ITV’s entire digital and consumer portfolio. Allocated senior producer responsibilities when called upon which included managing a team of creatives. Award winning creative for ITV.com with a Gold Award at Promax Worldwide 2009.
Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of copywriting, editing and art direction. Responsible for directing large budget launches for high-profile shows such as CSI: Vegas and Miami which drove up the channel’s ratings. Promoted to acting senior producer in early 2007, looking after a team of three creatives when my senior was away or absent. Shortlisted in 2006 & 2007 for Promax UK and European Awards. Charity challenge finalist in Promax UK 2006 which involved a Live pitch to an audience of three hundred creatives.
Worked across entire digital channel portfolio. Challenge, Living TV, Bravo and Trouble. Directed and edited various TVC’s to extremely tight deadlines. Won best upcoming young producer and best use of sound design at European Promax awards 2004.
Producer on a variety of long and short form content for The Sci-Fi and The Studio channels. Responsibilities included editing, production support in the studio and OB for BAFTA Live, briefing and directing talent and crew, overseeing offline and online edits for broadcast delivery.
Two years of theory with a ten thousand words dissertation on classical film techniques, one year of practical covering mise-en-scene, direction and editing. Final year film shot on 16mm.
