About me
Hello, My name is Christina Katsantoni and here’s a brief history of who I am, what I do, and why you should hire me: I grew up in Greece, raised by two non-creative parents who were OK to let their big girl move to US and study a seemingly impractical career: copywriting. Though I fell in love with design, I remained loyal to my first love - writing - and realised I'm really good when it comes to creative, concise and inspirational copywriting and scriptwriting. And in 2000, I landed my first job as a junior copywriter. After ten years of very little sleep and a lot of writing, advertising work began overwhelming my life and my desire to try new things became too much to bear. I ventured out on my own and embarked on getting my Master's degree in Digital Media from Goldsmiths University, UK. This decision would end up changing my career and my life. I’ve been a copywriter, scriptwriter, creative lead and relentless Starbucks aficionado in and out of London since 2010 and have worked for a lot of amazing clients like Direct Line Group, Rightster and Sapient Nitro. My strong points? Working collaboratively, thinking proactively, able to take initiative and to juggle multiple projects at once. All things I've learned by working for ad agencies like McCann, Havas and BBDO and clients like BMW, Mini, Miele, L'Oreal Paris, McDonalds and Nestle among others. Want to know more?     Digital Timeline installationthe brief For the 2014 end-of-the-year presentation, I was assigned to illustrate the Digital team's milestones since its inception in a beautifully crafted and easy-to-read timeline. And what a challenge it was! Working with every single team across Digital, interviewing senior managers whilst gathering and filtering data and stats, I managed to map out the seemingly simple but extremely busy life of Direct Line Group's youngest team. what did I do? - Put together the in-house brief and project requirements - Story development and storyboarding creative direction - Worked together with a designer/illustrator for the creation and production of the design story - Run the production process between our own team and contractors, such as printers, to complete the work
  • MINI Countryman
    MINI CountrymanTowards the end of my collaboration with BBDO Athens, our client BMW Hellas asked us to pitch for the new model of MINI - the MINI Countryman - that was expected to be launched in the Greek market in 2010. The following are the proposals which included teaser prints and follow ups. The purpose was to emphasise on the 'wild' character of the new MINI that didn't however lose a single thing from its infamous urban personality. The campaign combined messages in ?nglish and Greek both for the young, trendy audience it was targeting. What did I do? ?Leading the creative direction for both above-the-line and below-the-line activities across the brand. Copy development, editing and production. Pitching creative work to the client. Working together with the design team for the creation and production of all print, POP/POS, digital and direct marketing materials.

    Direct Line website rebrand - directline.comthe brief For over a year I worked non-stop on directline.com's rebranding project. By optimising and adding new functionality and features along with some seriously fresh and polished design and content, we wanted to change the old site completely so that it would provide a better, deeply engaging and content-rich experience for our customers. This way they would be able to view the site from anywhere - no matter if they're at their desktop or using a mobile device.

    Direct Line Videosbrief The goal was to improve conversions by using video to answer web chat questions as well as other common customer queries about products and services. what did I do? - Managed and produced in-house creative briefs, scripts and storyboards - Managed the in-house creation and production of design assets - Organised the casting process and co-directed real DLG staff to be our spokespeople - Managed and established a working relationship between our own design team and contractors, such as motion graphic designers, editors and illustrators
