    #PublishinghopefulsA Facebook group filled with people exactly like me, who's job search into publishing has been put entirely on hold due to Corona. A supportive, friendly and interactive group, which has gained over 320 members in a week.
  • The Storey Book Club
    The Storey Book ClubAn Instagram book club bring book recommendations and discussions about specific books every two weeks that has got over 600 followers in four weeks.

    I was very luckily approached by Orphans Publishing as they found me through my Twitter, Instagram book club and feature on the QMUL Alumni blog to take part in some social media work experience. I have taken control of their Instagram, working on campaigns such as a #snapshotsofnature series. I have been designing graphics on Canva, taking creative photo's and writing creative copy that will lead to direct sales. I have also been keeping in consistent contact with the wide range of authors that Orphans have. A big project I have been working on is the #moderncountrylife Instagram Live series with Tamsin Westhorpe - pitching to guests (bloggers, authors, influencers) and been promoting the series on Instagram.

    Started working part-time at Tesco Metro on April 20th 2020, right in the middle of the Corona pandemic and lockdown. Serve customers on the main till, help at self-service as well as policing the queues at the door. Always providing excellent customer service with a smile, and careful to adhere to the social distancing rules. This job was not what I had planned for 2020 but I'm grateful to have had employment during this tough time.
