Owned by one of the biggest agencies in Denmark, Black Rabbit taught me a lot about good thinking. I was very lucky to learn from two of the greatest copy and art creative directors in Denmark and took a lot with me from there. I only worked here this short time because I knew I was going to SCA in September.
This is where I learned all my graphic crafting skills. I learned to craft everything from idea to finish product - digital or print. Typography to animation.
I really enjoyed this 6-months internship as my first ticket into the advertising industry. I worked with loads of great people and clients, and I learned a lot.
At SCA I have so far learned more than any other school I've been to. We have the best mentors to learn from and we are only 39 students all in all which makes it very intense in a good way. We learn everything about strategy, propositions, scamping techniques, idea generation, concept development, execution, copywriting, innovation, problem-solving and everything creative you can imagine. It's like working in a small agency with all the creative space you want. Amazing.
At this school, I was out learning by doing on the agency O&O 80% of the time and the last 20% I was in school learning new graphic skills. This is a very technical focused graphic design education where you learn all professional skills on all platforms; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, HTML, CSS, CMS, typography, print techniques, coding etc. I got an A in this education for my final projects.
A one-year evening course, teaching me how to idea generate, build a concept and present to real clients every week. This was very focused on how to make the consumer interact with your idea or brand.
This education taught me how to build a brand from scratch. How to get the idea, how to get the right data, how to market research, how to find the right target group and speak their language, how to stand out, what the visuals should be, how to create a brand personality, how to use experienced marketing, how to spot a trend and so on. I got an A in my exam about rebranding a Danish water brand.
