About me
My name is Chris Hemy, and I am an audio engineer with a broad set of skills spanning the media industry.
My experience within the audio engineering world covers almost every aspect, from film and TV, both on set and post production, to acoustical studies for architecture. I have worked on many live events over the last 7 years, for Podd Sound and Banquet Records, and spent 3 years working at, and then running a venue in Kingston, The Fighting Cocks.
In this time I have had the pleasure of working with all kinds of bands, from grassroots first gigs, to album launch shows for Blink 182, Biffy Clyro and even intimate in-store sessions for Jimmy Eat World. In all of these cases I am responsible for system prep and tuning, onsite setup and packdown, as well as engineering the event.
With Podd Sound, alongside the festival engineering and system setup and care, were many corporate events for Sony Music, which involved small rigs with multiple projections, up to large scale product release events using Video walls and widespread media distribution across large buildings, tying all the elements together to create a truly immersive space.
I am currently looking for long term employment where I can settle down with plentiful opportunities to prove myself, progress and learn even more skills.

• My primary role at the college is the scheduling, maintenance and operation of the Sahra Siddons Theatre at the Paddington Green Campus.
• Early in 2017 I also designed, secured the funding for and built the new professional level recording studio for the same campus. Both of these facilities are hired out to industry with myself as the operating engineer.
• I am also responsible for the upkeep and operation of the onsite TV studio, containing a 4 camera live broadcast setup.
