- CLERKENWELL DESIGN WEEK 2016 Milliken’s events take their lead from the punk and street art that inspired its latest collection ‘Artistic Liberties’. Highlights will include a talk from legendary fashion designer, musician and artist Pam Hogg; also a street art and food extravaganza with talks and live painting featuring Ben Eine, Jimmy C, Artista, Annatomix and Dan Kitchener.
- CLERKENWELL DESIGN WEEK 2017 Milliken’s events aim to inspire. Highlights From this years CDW event included; An evening discussing - 'Design in Education ' with Jay Osgerby and Annie Warburton. Our annual Millikenparty night with local street food from 'Bob's Lobster, Baz and Fed and Pan'n' ice. Featuring our guest DJ's legendary designer Pam Hogg and resident Sanky's Ibiza Dj Pheobe Abdul .Throught the week we hosted fashion illustration workshops with London College of Fashion lecturer Ana Stankovic-Fitzgerald and our drop in ‘draw a Clerkenwell character’ workshops with local artist Jack Bishop - aka the Bloody Bishop.
- LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL 2016 As part of the London Design Festival Milliken's newly expanded and redesigned Clerkenwell showroom will be home to an exhibition of ceramics created by Turning Earth members and alumni. The event will celebrate Turning Earth's role as an incubator of small craft businesses and showcase the work of up and coming as well as more established artists, designers and makers. Around 30 craftspeople will take part in this group exhibition including Ben Sutton, Andrea Roman, Tom Kemp, Stine Dulong of SkandiHus, Pat O Leary, Caroline Austin, Natascha Madeiski and Tessa Barrett. For the duration of the London Design Festival visitors will have the opportunity to view and buy the works on show, watch demonstrations and also meet many of the makers. Turning Earth's mission is to cultivate craft both as an accessible hobby and as a viable career. Their first studio, Turning Earth Hoxton, opened in December 2013. Following a model popular in the US, it was the first dedicated open-access ceramics studio in London. The concept for this collaboration with Turning Earth was inspired by a new carpet tile collection 'Glazed Clay' from Milliken. Glazed Clay takes as it's starting point the subtle colours, finishes and textures of studio pottery. The Milliken design team used as its inspiration the glazed washes of colour and puddles of opacity combined with the alchemy of the earth's most natural elements to create a fresh and contemporary collection.

Day to day running of the Showroom in Clerkenwell:
. Responsible for all displays in the showroom. Working alongside marketing and design departments for showroom refits and new product launches/ layouts.
. Managing relations with all visitors to the showroom providing samples and design assistance with projects.
Maintain key relationships with clients such as TP BENNET, BDP, TTSP, AFFINITY AND TETRIS BLUU.
Management of the showroom sample room and the distribution of samples to clients in London as well as Europe:
. Provide support to the UK & European sales team: Visits and tours to the showroom / events and parties.
. Hosting product presentations and tours of the London showroom.
. Administrative support for London sales team and assistance in key client meetings.
Events:
. Creating and hosting a variety of seasonal events for the A&D and End User community.
. Liaising with head office marketing/design/sales and purchasing departments for every event.
. Creation and implementation of 4 - 7 day long events for the annual Clerkenwell Design week in May and London Design Festival in September along side the Showroom Manager and Design/marketing team.
