• My main role during my internship was writing and pitching content for the site, including daily news, fashion and celebrity updates on the homepage, larger features and selling all of my own content on social media. • I displayed excellent editorial instincts by pitching and writing, feature ideas that brought traffic to the site. • I showed a good grasp of SEO best practice. An example of this is when I pitched and wrote an original story about ‘Kylie Jenner’s hot bodyguard’, which we won the SEO on. • I showed a flair for social media, selling content in a way that was sharable – with many celebrities including Cara Delevingne, Chloe Moretz, Emma Roberts, Suki Waterhouse and more retweeting my tweets – and that directed traffic to the site. • I played a key role in successfully stabilising traffic for the ‘Celebrity’ section. • I understood timeliness of breaking news and was often first on the button to write fast news that consequently directed traffic to the site. An example of this is when I broke the Bridget Jones’s Baby trailer release news and posted it on Facebook with an effective sell, resulting in the post reaching over 1 million Facebook users. • I was solely in charge of the ‘Competitions’ channel on GLAMOUR.COM, liaising with PRs to commission editorial and Twitter competitions. • I assisted the print editorial team in writing music reviews for the magazine and writing for the ‘Hey It’s OK…’ section. • I conducted high-profile celebrity interviews (with celebrities including Lily James, Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt and Hugh Grant) and attended press events as a representative of GLAMOUR.
