Business Development is a pivotal department at Southpaw. In my role as Senior Marketing Manager, I am responsible for developing new and meaningful relationships with brands that can introduce the agency to new types of categories, as well as new and more progressive shapes of work. I am efficient, organised, proactive and always striving to add value back to the agency. Working alongside senior management on a daily basis, my main responsibilities include: Marketing & PR Continuous development of agency marketing materials to promote the agency's core services and stand out client work Management and delivery of all marketing and PR activity to raise the agency's profile and support the business development process Management of Social Media activities and blog content Communicating the proposition of the agency through thought leadership focused content Event planning and management, including talent and speaker bookings Preparation of award entries Line management of the Marketing Executive Management of the annual agency marketing and new business budget Leadership of the agency's culture team Business Development Management of lead generation and PR partnerships Management of new business/ thought leadership events Creation of new business strategies and processes Developing a strong relationship with intermediary agencies Building new business campaigns, crafting appropriate and impactful approaches Contract negotiations and preparation of terms of business
