Event Assistant
May - Sept (Freelance):
Click to edit position descriptionAssisting with general events office administration, including stationary orders, company filing and auditing, internal and external communications.
Diarising and coordinating management meetings and appointments.
Assisting the CEO with occasional PA duties.
Attending both internal and external management meetings, taking concise minutes, note keeping and report writing.
Managing enquiries via phone, email and post, fielding these to the correct teams and responding to visitor correspondence.
Assisting the Finance Manager with the inputting of sales and purchase ledgers and financial administration through clear books.
Assisting the Event Management team in delivering an annual programme of events, including The Spring Benefit and The Big Weekend.
Jan - May (Volunteer basis 1 day a week):
Providing pre and post event administration
Liaise with suppliers and requesting quotations for goods and services
Attend event management meetings
Coordinate and assist with targeted promotional activity
Assist with online marketing for upcoming events, preparing e-bulletins for current campaigns Assisting with key events staged by Manchester Pride
Running errands, compiling event shopping lists and purchasing goods

Programme LeaderThe Challenge

Programme Leader for The Challenge, responsible for the pastoral care of 66 young people and 9 staff for the duration of three weeks. Supporting them through three phases of the programme which included two residential stays at an activity centre and in university style accommodation and supporting the group whilst them planned their campaign and worked with community partners.
