About me
A highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic professional who is both adaptable and ultimately responsible for delivering a wide section of successful events amd marketing plans of varying sizes. I am looking for my next challenge that will push me and draw upon the many, varied skills I have developed so far throughout my career, but most recently at the British Orthopaedic Association and its associated specialist societies. With a clear, logical mind and a practical approach to problem solving, I have enough drive to see through any project to successful completion. Whether working on my own initiative as a self-starter, as part of a team, or as overall person responsible, I know how to bring the relevant stakeholders and clients together to impart their messages.

    Print TempleApproached by an owner of many art prints who was looking to create an on-line 'gallery' and blog of sorts to include the ability to sell. Already had the name, but needed re-branding and social media outlets. Utilised Wordpress and eShop for e-commerce and Photoshop for new logo design.
Work history
    Information Systems Assistant
    Having seen the majority of the events modules and various marketing literature move over into the IS department, I duly followed and was accepted to become part of this expanding team. All onsite technical support, pre-event, onsite registration and event websites and marketing are placed under this team’s remit. Using WordPress and open source PHP web- based applications, we advertise on all available outlets. Including social and digital marketing, creating onsite ‘tweet walls’ and other delegate interactions along with using Yoast’s SEO plugin, ensuring all BOA online content is SEO optimised and reportable. Within the event-specific WordPress website, Event Espresso combined with Gravity Forms was our chosen method of delegate registration and distribution of Certificates of Attendance. Having created submission forms for Calendar additions and the main staff ‘Contact Us’ functionality, I was able to re-use these skills and produce the Certificates of Attendance and send each attended delegate a link containing a query string to ensure their certificates were correct prior to completion. Additional skills acquired during this time: • Technical Support to BOA Membership and Staff (remotely and onsite) • Online presence development, maintenance and communications • Perform installations, upgrades and preventative maintenance on staff computers • Provide training on systems and hardware • On-site delegate management and registration systems

    I was assigned an additional role of events and general administrative support for 7 out of 16 of our specialist societies. Each society is independently run from the main BOA with its own membership, database, branding and strategy. They operate in a similar, but smaller scope to service their membership through Professional Practice, Education & Training and Developing Research. • Created & coordinated Newsletters • Separate database administration and analysis • General member enquiries & support • New Membership Application processing • Coordinated their Abstract Handling
