Designer in Residence for The Playground's Summer Residency programme. The Playground is a socially-engaged organisation with a strong community influence. As a summer resident, alongside developing research for my personal practice, I assisted in organising events and leading group workshops connecting the local community with art and design practices.
Individual Designer commissioned by the Victoria and Albert Museum to create furniture from their discarded exhibition crates. Furniture created was later exhibited for the museums 'Exhibition Road Day of Design' as part of London Design Festival 2019.
Selected to exhibit work and represent UAL at New Designers 2019 Week 2 and assist in the curation of the University's stand layout. The furniture I exhibited was nominated for a 2020 Creative Conscience Award and featured on the New Designers Instagram feed. Leading up to New Designers, it was my responsibility to help source funding from the University, this included corresponding with the Deans and Chancellors.
5 month placement extending to permanent work. Working for an independent textile and print studio, duties ranged from packing orders for clients, to writing copy for the studio website. Other responsibilities included: researching press contacts, photographing new products, and working with Adobe CS on various tasks.
