About me
I am a practicing artist working within the medium of still and moving image. My previous works have been selected for exhibition across London at prestigious art events, galleries and film festivals. New pieces have already been shortlisted for various international emerging artist competitions. I work sporadically as a freelance runner and Art Department assistant. As a recent graduate of Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, making the transition to commercial cinema has been a tough yet rewarding challenge. In an industry as competitive as film I have used my creative background to gain experience among directors and producers with less mainstream ideologies. I have interned previously at WARP Films where I spent a month based in the London office reading and analysing selected books, plays, scripts and short films; identifying key themes to help construct concise synopses for the producers. I have also written for IDOL Magazine; initially a writer on the arts, I transferred to film and developed a niche style of visual analysis. My skills include: Advance knowledge of Photoshop- Retouch, Adobe suite – Premier Pro CS6 and After Effects, InDesign, Microsoft Office and Mac Literate. I have a Bachelor with Honours in Fine Art and also have undertaken a course at CSM for Art direction in film. I am currently studying an MA in Moving Image at The Royal College of Art. c.baybutt.film@gmail.com
