At HUB Controls I had the opportunity to work alongside award-winning professionals with 15-20 years of experience. The Management Team counted with former employees from Google, Philips, Henkel, Design Partners, Hilton, etc. While I had much to learn from these talented people, I also got to contribute to critical decision-making and to shape the company’s path. - Website development and management – creating content, page layout, uploading onto Magento, html. - Digital marketing planning – social media, email marketing, ecommerce, website. - Interns management – induction planning, workload management, training and supervision. - Crowdfunding campaign - planning and presentation to the Management Team. This project hasn’t come to life, as it is planned for 2017 or later. - Marketing research – presentation of key findings and future planning to the Management Team. As my role evolved to Head of Content, I got a seat at the Management Team Meetings. I created content and managed content production (video, web, print), organised the product launch event - marketing concept and logistics. I helped to develop and implement a digital marketing strategy, conducted consumer persona research, created a content marketing plan, and also supported the Design Team occasionally. I worked closely with the CEO on Business Plans and Investment Decks to get investment. I was responsible for applying for Startup Competitions and the results were: Bank of Ireland Startup of the Year 2016, in the Product & Manufacturing category, IDI Design Award 2016, Consumer Product, ILDN Regional Award, final 3 in The Irish Times Innovation Awards, etc. As part of the benefits of getting far down the line in these competitions, the company got mentioned in publications like The Irish Times, Silicon Republic, The Journal, etc. These publications increased brand awareness as the Journal’s article alone has had over 15K views. As part of working in a startup, my experience at HUB Controls also involved admin and HR functions, customer service, cold-calling, etc.
