Given my multicultural background and having lived in Spain and then in England, France and Italy, my background has made me an open-minded that can challenge conventional perspectives and adapt quickly to different environments. I have a long practice of working and living in an international environment; a result of living abroad in countries such as France and Italy and repeatedly teaming up with people from other backgrounds. Moreover, my incredible university experience, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, have provided me with an extensive multidisciplinary background ranging from Digital Marketing and Social Media, to Translation Studies to help me prepare for my professional career, but most importantly, it has given me time to discover where my passion really lies: enhancing user experiences and helping brands become brave brands. Personal highlights from my Master’s programme include: running a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for a new innovative product my team and I designed, and travelling to Buenos Aires to work with the founders of La Chispa Films – an audio-visual production start-up company – and provide them with an integrative and holistic strategic solution to their business development problem. Finally, having been a committee member as well as a senior basketball member of University’s of Birmingham’s Women’s basketball 1st team, and taking the initiative to pursue an internship at Reluctantly Brave for five months whilst simultaneously reading for my Masters degree, I have shown that I am always willing to go that extra mile for something I am passionate about, that I am a diligent worker and I thrive when working with an inspiring team and taking on responsibility.
Since moving to London and doing my Masters degree, I have also been working on a part time basis with LOLA Events, taking on various roles under the ‘hospitality’ umbrella (e.g. waitress, bar staff, hostess) at different events and venues including: Fortnum & Mason, Hilton Hotel and the ExcEL Centre.
While completing my Masters, I took the initiative to pursue an internship at Reluctantly Brave - a creative, strategic and intellectual consultancy with a socially responsible ethos - to gain valuable work experience. Throughout my time with RB, I was able to work with the partners of Reluctantly Brave to build strategy and provide insights for different clients such as GHD and even create content for RB's own marketing communication strategy.
