Freelance curator and researcher for Jane Withers Design Curators/Consultants for the 'Soak, Steam, Dream' exhibition at ROCA Gallery London. Including sourcing material, exhibition layouts and curatorial research.
Curatorial Programme Manager [fixed term contract] I curated and project managed the artist-architect exhibition for autumn 2016, writing the interpretation text, including a 35 page booklet to accompany the exhibition. I managed the touring Assemble exhibition across UK locations, an architectural open call over the summer (two exhibitions across London), as well as overseeing and curating the talks and events programme. This involved liaising with the marketing and comms teams, developing and managing strategies and time lines. Highlights include raising over £60k through grants applications, and chairing the discussion 'Where does art end and architecture begin?' on 12 October 2016.
Design Residency at Rupert, Vilnius, Lithuania. I worked to produce a new range of design objects as well as on the research and development of the transdisciplinary curatorial project, Work at Home, with exhibitions across Europe in 2015-2016.
I project managed and curate the content, logistics, and marketing for the exhibitions of this transdisciplinary project. This involved sourcing venues, commissioning artists and designers, finding producers/fabricators where necessary, establishing collaborative partnerships and arranging logistics such as shipping and insurance. Exhibitions took place in Eindhoven and London.
Postgraduate Programme Manager I managed the postgraduate programme and programmed the lectures and ‘Artists on Film’ screenings. I organised the end of year exhibition including hanging, documentation, and the opening events.
