Digital Copy Writer

South London Gallery

Feb 2018
  • London, United Kingdom
  • Freelance
  • MISSION: Over the course of several months, I have been tasked with poking around in South London Gallery’s archive and making sure to bring all its most interesting stories to the fore for the new website. With an image archive and list of historical exhibitions and events stretching back to the early 20th century, it’s an enormous and rewarding project to bring all this together under one site. I also helped in the run-up to the launch by editing images, producing a house style guide, and writing a user guide for the website. DUTIES: (Re)writing, editing, and publishing past exhibitions and events pages migrated from the previous website to the new website | Working with the archivist to review and quality control migrated content | Ensuring all migrated pages are checked, tagged and linked appropriately and meet an agreed visual standard | Advising on social media | Creating an online style guide and delivering digital workshops.
